We are a small private practice located by the beautiful North Loup River in Ord, Nebraska. We offer our services in a quiet, relaxed setting and believe in treating each person individually. Our primary focus is to devote the time needed to evaluate the underlying causes of pain or dysfunction. Our physical therapists have extensive experience in manual therapy techniques and exercise progressions, and are committed to facilitating your optimal function and well-being.
While our professional staff is highly trained in traditional therapy, we also utilize an advanced Postural Restoration approach with most patients (for more information, please see www.posturalrestoration.com)
Christy graduated in 1984 with a physical therapy degree from Washington University in St Louis. Prior to moving to Ord in 1987, she was employed at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Lincoln, where she received a strong orthopedic background with an emphasis in sports medicine. She has advanced training in the treatment of the foot and ankle, and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha on foot biomechanics and the use of custom orthotics.
Her passion for learning led her also to become certified as a Postural Restoration Clinician in 2009. Christy enjoys the challenge of treating complex pain syndromes that have not responded to traditional therapy, including headaches, pelvic dysfunction, and back pain. Her future training includes education in the technique of Dry Needling, a therapy that will soon be offered at the Riverside clinic. Christy’s holistic approach to therapy considers all aspects of health and well-being to help patients achieve an optimal quality of life.
When she is not treating patients, Christy likes spending time with her four adult children, playing music, and enjoying a number of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, kayaking, and bird-watching.

She feels fortunate to call the Ord area her home, and enjoys the opportunity to share her passion for delivering sound physical therapy and hope to the people of central Nebraska.
