Christy graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1984. She was employed at St. Elizabeth Community Health Center in Lincoln, Nebraska until 1987. After marrying her husband and relocating to Ord, Nebraska she began practicing at Valley County Health System until recently.

Christy has chosen to embark on a new adventure by opening her own physical therapy clinic to be closer to her family and enjoy her new scenic location. Christy has 27 years of experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal pain syndromes and sports injuries. She was a guest lecturer at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for 10 years, teaching the evaluation and treatment of the foot and ankle as well as the utilization of foot orthotics.

Christy is committed to providing excellent care by performing a comprehensive evaluation to recognize imbalances in all areas of the body that may be contributing to localized or multiple pain syndromes. Her professional interests also include complex, chronic pain patients, who respond well to Postural Restoration Programs.

riverPostural Restoration

Postural Restoration is a form of physical therapy that seeks to maximize optimal function through repositioning, retraining, and restoring normal positions and movements. This approach coordinates appropriate breathing techniques combined with manual skills and specific exercises to normalize posture and reduce pain. Christy has received advanced training from the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI). This program has proven very effective in treating most of the problems listed above, as well as many chronic conditions.
